• Staff helps with internships and career opportunities. Homework is present in most classes.
• Many majors and minors offered. The library is conveniently located on campus and available for extended hours during exams.
• The professors are very helpful and understanding.
• The workload is much less than other universities but its also enough of a challenge. The programs are great and the curriculum tends to help a lot with your major.
• The professors thus far are great and encouraging. Most of them go far and beyond to help out the students. The registration process is easy and the workload is manageable. They also have a good study abroad program for students.
• Salve Regina is not one of the hardest schools, but it will push you to study. You are not overwhelmed with the academics there, but you still learn a lot. The teachers are great, and majority of them are there for you and willing to help you.
• I am a nursing major, and like all nursing majors will tell you, the workload is brutal. No surprise there though. Salve tries to space the classes out a little so you're not take too many at once, but the classes are difficult. I am satisfied with the education here.
• I came to Salve Regina because of it's excellent nursing program. The campus is beautiful and the city of Newport is just gorgeous to walk around and have fun in. So far, all of my teachers have been great and they are very helpful. As much as people complain about there not being enough diversity here, it doesn't really bother me. It is what you make it and if that bothers you you probably shouldn't come here. There are a lot of white people, especially white girls.
• I came to Salve Regina to study psychology, but my freshman year adviser did not put me into the introduction class for it. She instead put me into the introduction class for Anthropology and I switched my major. My major, while something I am very passionate for, is lacking in the department quite heavily. We only have two full-time professors for it, but they lack in communication with each other. Salve Regina is mainly a nursing or teaching college, which doesn't make it a bad thing, but many of the other majors are a bit behind in what they could be doing. Their science programs are fantastic, but majors in the humanities are lacking.*(5)
