Transfer Prerequisites
Applicants to specific programs at Drexel are expected to have the following admission prerequisites completed or in progress at time of application.
The following college-level prerequisites are required.
- Biology I
- Biology II
* Other sciences may be considered in place of Bio I and II
The biomedical engineering program requires the following college-level prerequisites. High school coursework may be substituted if you've graduated within the past five years (please provide official high school transcripts):
- Pre-calculus or calculus
- Chemistry with lab
Physics is not required but strongly recommended to complete.
These programs require the following college-level prerequisite. The AP Calculus Exam may be substituted if the test date is within the past five years (please provide official AP scores). Students must have a score of 4 or 5 to be considered for this prerequisite.
- Calculus I
All engineering programs (architectural engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, materials science and engineering, and mechanical engineering) require the following college-level prerequisites, and at least two of these courses must be completed at the time of application, with one of these being pre-calculus or calculus. High school coursework may be substituted if you've graduated within the past five years (please provide official high school transcripts).
- Pre-calculus or calculus
- Chemistry (with lab)
- Physics (with lab)
Note: Engineering Technology and Construction Management do not have specific prerequisite requirements for admission, but it is recommended that students complete pre-calculus.
Two college-level science (with lab) prerequisites are required.
Applicants do not need to have all of the following college-level prerequisites completed before applying to the nursing program, but these prerequisites must be completed before starting the nursing program at Drexel. Missing any of the listed prerequisites will result in it taking four years to complete the nursing program.
