Important Dates

Wednesday, May 1, 2024

  • Texas Medical & Dental Schools Application Service (TMDSAS)applicationopens for Entry Year2025(EY2025).
  • The applicant may begin their Texas A&M DVMsupplemental applicationas soon as they have a TMDSAS ID number, which is provided when a TMDSAS application has been initiated.
    • Beginning the supplemental application will initiate applicant access to their individual Texas A&M Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (VMBS) dashboard.
  • Applicants may enter evaluator names in the TMDSAS application (Instructions). One evaluation must be completed by a veterinarian. All evaluations must be completed by individuals other than family members.

  • Applicants may begin submitting TMDSAS applications.

Friday, Aug. 16, 2024

  • Applicants must have completed or be enrolled in the following by the application deadline (if they are enrolled, then they must be completed by December 2024 with a grade of “C” or better): Organic Chemistry I with lab, Physics I with lab, and Biochemistry.

Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024

  • TMDSASapplicationand fees are due by 11:59 p.m. CST.
    • Three evaluations, including at least one from a veterinarian, must be received by TMDSAS by 11:59 p.m. CST.
  • Texas A&M DVMsupplemental applicationand fee are due by 11:59 p.m. CST.

November 2024

Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024

  • Students should submit Fall 2024 grades to TMDSAS via the application portal.
  • Organic Chemistry I with lab, Physics I with lab, and Biochemistry must be completed and reported.

December 2024

  • Fall 2024 grades are due and must be entered in the TMDSAS application portal.

Thursday, May 1, 2025

  • All prerequisite courses must be completed forEY 2025.
    • All transcripts must be submitted to Texas A&M VMBS within 15 days of the end of the spring semester.
      • Official transcripts from your institution can be emailed or mailed using the contact information listed below.

Notes

  • TMDSAS help:Visittmdsas.comand click on “Get Support.”
  • TMDSASprovides“Next Steps After Submitting” application information (for example, the status of evaluations, receipt of payment, etc.).
  • Transcriptsshould not be submitted to TMDSAS until they arerequested by TMDSAS.
  • TheCasper Assessmentfrom Acuity Insights must be taken each year.
    • Snapshot nor Duet are required.
  • TheTexas A&M DVM supplemental applicationfee is $75 and must be paid at the time of submission.
    • Pleaseenter your TMDSAS number when requested to match the payment to the supplemental applicationand keep a copy of your receipt.
  • Failure to have evaluations to TMDSAS by August 30, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. CST will disqualifyyour application to the Texas A&M DVM Professional Program.
  • One letter of evaluation must be from a veterinarian.
  • TMDSAS applications can take four to six weeks to processand be transmitted to the Texas A&M VMBS.
    • The Texas A&M VMBS dashboard will not update until after we have received and processed a TMDSAS-transmitted application.
  • The GRE will not be used for the current admissions process. Please visit our website for any updates to this requirement.
  • The Texas A&M VMBS DVM Professional Programoffice is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excludinguniversity holidays.
