Research Training Program Fee-Offset (International) {formerly International Postgraduate Research}

Research Training Program Fee Offsets are available to international students with a First Class Honours result or equivalent, to support their study towards a Higher Degree by Research (doctoral). Awards are available in all discipline areas.

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

• Meet Swinburne’s academic entry requirements for a research doctorate program
• Not be a citizen of Australia or New Zealand
• Meet international student visa requirements
• Be enrolled on a full-time basis in an area of research strength for Swinburne
• Not eligible for the Research Training Program Fee-Offset
• Not have held an AusAID scholarship within the last two years
• Not be receiving any other tuition fee scholarship funded or partly funded by the Commonwealth Government
• Not have previously held a Research Training Program Fee-Offset (International) - {formerly International Postgraduate Research Scholarship}

• Tuition fees for up to four years
• Overseas Student Health Cover (for the applicant, spouse and dependents)
