Full disclaimer, I've never been to the actual main campus in Temple. I do all my classes at the Hutto campus, which, according to my coworkers who live in Hutto, is known as "that giant building with all the glass out in the middle of nowhere." It's an accurate description. It's a pretty big building and has a lot of windows and is in the middle of a field with very little around it, and is only accessible by one specific two-lane street. It's cool. It has the exact opposite of what I'd call a party life, considering absolutely nobody hangs out there between classes or talks to anyone they don't already know. We all just do our classes and leave. It's great.
Temple University is a prestigious institution in North Philadelphia in which I am proud to be an alum. If you walk by the bell tower, library, or student center you are bound to run into an organization that has helpful information or a random giveaway, making campus life engaging. There are food trucks, cafes, and dining halls, in addition to outdoor seating arrangements where the visuals are top of mind like Mazur Hall. There many opportunities to get involved with campus life and make connections that will last like joining student organizations including BSU, NAACP, NABA, or NSBE and the faculty support from professors or student activities is very comforting and informative.
While I was a student at Temple I would be reminded of how Temple University would be in the middle of North Philadelphia. There could be some programs or initiatives to do more community service work within the North Philadelphia community and providing neighboring shelters with food and clothing.

Temple College is a charming campus! Offers a wide variety of majors and if you're looking to get started in the medical field, Temple college is a really good place to start! Its close proximity to Scott and White Hospital and the nursing program is amazing!
