The campus is large, allowing for a multitude of events to be held at any given time, and providing a lot of opportunities for socializing. The school is located close to downtown Tucson, which is a great reflection of the culture and gives students an opportunity to learn about local art and people. There’s also so many classes of varying fields that anyone can enroll in, so there’s a lot of opportunity for growth and forming new interests!
The most significant problem I notice on this campus is regarding student safety. Sometimes there are groups on campus displaying imagery or beliefs that are harmful or triggering to students and the university makes no effort to stop it. One example is earlier this fall when people stood outside the campus mall with signs declaring that slavery is a right to whites and that women are property. Another is frequent anti-abortion displays, holding up images of fetuses and spreading dangerous rhetoric.

Before I came to the University of Arizona I was nervous and overwhelmed. I thought even of not going to college. But was convinved to at least try. Sonce then, being on campus was been a better experience than I thought. Not to mention the different opportunities given at the University of Arizona. An example being the New Start program. In where first year accepted now student get a bit of preview during the summer. Which helped from being overwhelmed for the fall semesters with the campus and classes full of students and passing people. You can really tell they care about their students being involved and finding their group and community within the University. Either I have been lucky but all my professors have been great. Considerate, king, and caring. And know what they are doing on teaching and professions, as well as the teacher assistant. Then the places around around and on the campus are great places to hang out or eat for leisure time. I only wish they provide more safety.
At the University of Arizona, I’ve been quite satisfied with the academic environment, particularly with the professors and the overall quality of education. The classes are well-structured, and the professors are knowledgeable and approachable, creating an engaging learning atmosphere.
However, as an international student, I’ve found that the financial aid options are limited, which can pose a significant challenge. Despite excelling academically, the lack of sufficient financial support has made it difficult to continue without considering a transfer. It would be great to see the university improve its financial aid offerings for international students, as this would help retain talented individuals who contribute to the campus community.
