I liked just about everything at Craven Community College. Without their CCP program I wouldn't have been able to go to college at my unusually early age; and when I did go, it wouldn't have been free. In addition to how inclusive and affordable it is, I had a great experience with most of my classes and teacher. The staff are all great and it's incredibly easy to get help or advice when needed.
I wish they offered other languages like Japanese or other Asian language as a program of study. The satellite campus in Havelock is a convenient location, however the classes available are limited to aviation and medical fields. I do appreciate the diversity in the student body as well as the professors, with some I will try and take other classes with. The local area is nice, unless you come from a larger city where you will find it lacking nightlife and high quality restaurants.
I am in my 40s and am enrolled PT and truly love coming to classes at CCC. The buildings are always clean, the property is safe. The cost of courses and books are affordable and I feel like this is a great choice to take to earn an Associate's degree, or workforce development, all the way to certifications. The Baker building where the offices are for Enrollment/Veteran affairs/Cashier is located is always timely and I don't have any negative takeaways about CCC. Its a great community to belong to.
