As an International student I was welcomed with open arms. A lot of support were available whenever I needed it. The small classes and personal relationships with lecturers made it much easier to adapt to a "new world",
Despite getting home sick from time to time, my freshman year was an AMAZING experience!!
Despite getting home sick from time to time, my freshman year was an AMAZING experience!!
I started SCC (Salem Community College) right out of high school, in the fall of 2022. I started at SCC because a lot of my friends at the time were continuing their education there. For me personally, some of the professors weren't the nicest or the most helpful. I made a few friends but not a lot, I could count the friends I made on a hand. There wasn't a push to make friends there. The admissions and advisors were amazing though! I was accepted into the nursing program but I didn't like it due to the instructors which caused me to drop the program entirely. I would like to see the campus become brighter and not as dark as well as I would like to see some of the professors, who no one has anything to say good about, reviewed and accountable for how they make students feel academically.
This would be my first year attending Salem Community College in New Jersey. I am transferring from another community college from Delaware and from the very first interaction I've had with Salem Community College I knew this would be a great school to attend. All I can say is that so far this has been a great college experience. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. They respond fast to emails and they are also very through. This is a completely different experience from my previous college. I have family and friends who attend this school and they all feel the same way.
