I studied the Bachelor of Arts majoring in history and sociology. I enjoyed being at a smaller regional campus where everyone knew each other and knew exactly who to go to for help. Being a history major also gave me an opportunity to learn more about our Australian Indigenous history.’
‘I am currently working as a statutory planner in the water industry. I enjoy that I am able to make a difference in Victoria’s land use, development and environment.

I find history interesting because it creates a backdrop to life events. In one subject I’ll be learning about Australian Aboriginal history, and in another studying English, French and Russian comparative history. Studying history has allowed me to explore different ways of viewing the past and has given me an insight on the present and the future. Eighty years in the future, historians will be bickering over the now.
