Integrated BS/MS Statistics

The Integrated Program allows well-prepared students to complete both BS and MS degree programs simultaneously and at lower overall tuition cost. Applicants must be on track to receive their Bachelor's degree in one of our offered emphases (Actuarial Science, Applied Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or Statistical Science). It is available to students who have taken Math 112, Math 113, Math 213, Math 215, Math 314, Stat 230, Stat 240, Stat 330, and Stat 340 and have 6 credits or less left until they complete their bachelor's degree. Acceptance into the Integrated Track is required before students can enroll in graduate courses.

Interested students must submit the Department Application for the Integrated Program by February 1st of their third or junior year at BYU for admission for the following Fall semester. The Department Application includes a proposed study list demonstrating feasibility, GRE scores, a statement of intent, and three references. If the references are not faculty from the BYU Statistics Department, they do need to write a letter of recommendation. Letters of Recommendation can be submitted with the application or sent directly tograduate@stat.byu.edu .

The university application fee will be deferred until after the student's first year in the integrated program at which point they must submit an Application for Graduate Studyhere.
Integrated students must also sign and submit the Graduate Studies Form Notice of Integrated or Joint Program Status (GS Form 5) concurrent with the Apply Yourself Application.
