Course objectives
The course is designed to equip non-pharmacy graduate students with the fundamental knowledge and skills to enhance career opportunities within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, academic pharmaceutical research, or pharmaceutical regulatory organisations.

Career outcomes
Graduates of our program can expect to find employment in a variety of sectors within the biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical industries, including manufacturing, research, quality control, and marketing. Opportunities also abound in medical research institutes, hospitals, biomedical research laboratories, universities, government research laboratories, and regulatory agencies. Additionally, many graduates pursue further studies in Masters or PhD programs.
With an in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences, our graduates are well-prepared for successful careers in both health and industry, equipped with the expertise to make significant contributions to their fields.
Course structure
Students will complete 100 credit points (4 units), comprised of four 25 credit points coursework units.

Entry requirements
For Domestic students
Applicants must have successfully completed a health-based (e.g., Pharmacy, Biomedical, Nursing, Laboratory Medicine, Dentistry, Medicine, Biology, Microbiology) or science-based (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology) AQF 7 Bachelor degree or equivalent.
For International students
Applicants must have successfully completed a health-based (e.g., Pharmacy, Biomedical, Nursing, Laboratory Medicine, Dentistry, Medicine, Biology, Microbiology) or science-based (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology) AQF 7 Bachelor degree or equivalent.
International applicants must meet the English Language requirement of IELTS 6.5 with no individual band less than 6.0.

Articulation
A student will be eligible to enrol in year 2 of the Master of Pharmaceutical Science course after completing the requirements for Graduate Diploma of Pharmaceutical Science with 100 credit points.
Fees & scholarships
Domestic students
This is a full-fee course, which means you’ll need to pay the full amount for your studies. Commonwealth Supported Places are not available in this course. However, there are still support options available for eligible students to help you manage the cost of studying this course.
You may be able to fund all or part of your tuition fees by accessing aFEE-HELP loanfrom the Australian Government. FEE-HELP is a loan scheme that assists domestic full-fee students to pay for University, which is repaid through the Australian Tax System once you earn above a repayment threshold. This means you’ll only have to start repaying the loan once you start earning above a specific amount

2024 Total Course Fee (international students):$35,450 AUD*.
Course cost based on a rate of $35,450 AUD per standard, full-time year of study (100 credit points).

International students
International students are charged the Student Services and Amenities Fee but this fee is incorporated in the annual rate. International students do not have to make any additional SSAF payments.
