My experience is amazing, they have so many helpful resources, such as study groups, clubs to help within a certain subject, and even in the library, they give study guides/practice tests if you’re studying for an upcoming exam. What I would like to see change is how some professors grade, most only grade on exams, which isn’t bad but sometimes we do so much work and get their study guides and practice, yet they change so much things on the exam, things we never even covered, and end up doing bad on the exams, then we fail even when we did all homework and class work, and everything.
Rio Hondo is a great community. When I first transferred to Rio Hondo College, I felt comfortable and it was a pleasant experience. I felt like the professors really care for their students and motivate them to go to office hours if they're struggling. Rio Hondo has a good tutoring system and it helped me succeed in my Statistic class.
This is my first semester at Rio Hondo. I’ve been enrolled since August. I’m enjoying my College experience here at Rio. Great communication with my Teachers, students and all Administration staff. I recommend all High School freshmen to tour this Community College.
