M.S. in Accounting
The M.S. in Accounting Program is designed to help you apply accounting, analytics, and communication skills to solve problems, present information to clients in a clear, compelling way, and lead others in your firm and your field. In just nine months and 30 credit hours, you will meet the 150-hour requirement to sit for CPA licensure and gain a solid technical foundation and practical understanding of your chosen track.
You'll choose one of two tracks: Financial Reporting & Assurance or Tax Consulting. Each track empowers you with deep technical knowledge within a focus area while developing the critical thinking, leadership, and decision-making skills needed to guide teams and clients.
Effectively address accounting problems that you'll face on the job. With the Financial Reporting & Assurance Track you'll be prepared to tackle various relevant topics, including financial statement preparation issues, financial statement analysis, derivatives, and auditing.

We prepare students to think beyond the CPA, to become leaders in the field and their profession. That said, we offer courses that align with CPA preparation, as many students start preparing for the CPA during the M.S. in Accounting Program. We feel confident our students are already well equipped and prepared for the CPA, which is reflected in our #5 ranking for first-time pass rate out of 769 institutions nationwide.

Global Commerce Immersion (GCI) elective courses offer students an in-depth understanding of the complex social, economic, and cultural dynamics affecting today's rapidly changing global business environment. These unique courses include on-campus seminars and a study-abroad component during either the January term or spring break. GCI courses can be topic-specific (e.g., finance or consumer behavior and marketing) or practical (e.g., a consulting project analyzing a specific company’s business problems and opportunities).
