Swinburne/National ICT Australia Scholarship - Swinburne Software Innovation Laboratory
The newly formed Software Innovation Laboratory is offering at least eight PhD scholarships to suitable candidates. The laboratory was established jointly by Swinburne andNational ICT Australia (NICTA)to carry out innovative research and development in information technology, software engineering and computer science.
Research projects will relate to data analytics, software algorithms, cloud computing, optimisation, data visualisation, human-computer interface, agent-oriented computing and software architecture.
The candidate will work with Swinburne supervisors and an industrial partner on a specific research topic. Project details will be communicated to candidates as they become available.

Eligibility / selection criteria
- First-class at honours or master level in computer science, software engineering or related disciplines. The candidates must have some research exposure during their studies.
- Fulfil the PhD candidature entry requirements of Swinburne
- Selection of candidates will depend on skills and the requirements of each project.
Value
- Stipend of around A$25,000 per annum (tax free) for 3.5 years
