English entry requirements
Applicants need to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements for all Award and Non-Award Programs. Check ourEnglish entry requirements.
Genuine Student (GS) requirement
All applicants applying to study on-campus on a Student visa must demonstrate they satisfy theDepartment of Home Affairs genuine student criterionor the genuine student dependent criterion. You will be directed to questions addressing the GS requirement as part of your application.

As a new student, you will pay the fees that are indicated in your Letter of Offer. You can make a payment from your home country via a international Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) using Flywire.
There is no application or assessment fee to apply to study with UniSQ.

Please note: for Africa, Middle East and sub-continent countries we only accept applications through UniSQ representatives. For applicants from all other countries, while we still encourage you to apply through one of our UniSQ approved agents, you are welcome to apply directly.

To support your application to study, you will also need to submitcertifiedcopies of:
- official photographic identification
- English language proficiency: if you are from a non-English speaking country, we require evidence of your English language proficiency
- senior high school (A levels / Year 12) certificate and academic transcripts
- all post-secondary study certificates and academic transcripts (if any)
- evidence of work experience (if any).
When submitting, clear colour copies of documents are preferred.
If you have studied or worked previously, you may be eligible for credit orrecognition of prior learning. You can apply for credit using theonline application form.
If you’re applying for credit, you will need to provide further supporting documentation including:
- A copy of an approved course synopsis for the year in which the subject was successfully completed.
- Documents in a language other than English will need to be accompanied by official translations.
It is important to apply early to allow enough time for your application to be assessed and processed to meet study commencement dates and participation in Orientation activities. Applicants should also factor in visa processing requirements and timeframes, where applicable.

Therecommended last date to applyfor upcoming study periods are as follows:
- 11 March 2024 Trimester 2, 2024 (Orientation commences 06 May 2024)
06 May 2024 Semester 2, 2024 (Orientation commences 01 July 2024)
24 June 2024 Trimester 3, 2024 (Orientation commences 26 August 2024)
09 September 2024 Semester 3, 2024 (Orientation commences 04 November 2024)
Applications received after the recommended last date to apply may be delayed, and we may request to reconsider your chosen study period.

Application processing times
Ensure you have supplied certified and complete information at the time of your application. As a guide, typical application processing times are:
- Undergraduate and postgraduate applications: allow 14 days for assessment. Where additional assessment is required for course credits and exemptions, this may take longer.
- Research applications: allow a minimum of 25 working days.
