Postgraduate taught entry requirements
We will only consider applications to Masters degrees from graduates of the Chinese institutions listed in the sheet below. In addition to the minimum GPA requirements in a relevant degree, some programmes have core module requirements and academic performance in relevant subjects will be accorded greater significance and entry will be entirely at the discretion of the University of Glasgow. Requirements can be found on the Postgraduate taught degree programmes.
For Transnational Education programmes with an international university (e.g. Xi'an Jiaotong Liverpool University, NYU Shanghai) we generally ask for a minimum of a 2:1 degree or GPA of 3.0/4.0
We can only accept (3+1) top-up honours degrees with the final year at a UK or other university if the first 3 years were taught at an institution accepted for admission (on the list) by the University of Glasgow. Please note that we will require for you to upload to your application, details of all modules that you will complete in your final year of studies in order to process your application and make a decision for admission. We strongly encourage you to provide these details at the time of submitting your application, to avoid delays in processing your application.
Grades given in this sheet are the minimum entry requirements considered and do not guarantee an offer.
Please check the latest requirements for Postgraduate Applicants from China here. This list is for 2024 ENTRY and will be updated in due course -University of Glasgow Accepted Chinese University List 2024.

Meet Us
Students who choose to be counselled by an agency should expect the following standards of service:
- Representatives will support students throughout the application process, providing advice and assistance in the preparation/submission of documents. It is, however, the applicant who must remain ultimately responsible for their account and the management of communications.
- Representatives will have full access to student data contained within the application form and may manage a student application by discussing all aspects of the application with the University of Glasgow.
- Representatives should be honest and accurate in communicating information about the University to the student and vice versa. At no time should representatives disseminate false or misleading information to the student or to the University.
- Representatives will conduct themselves with fairness and integrity at all times and are subject to a rigorous selection and ongoing training process by the University of Glasgow.
- Representatives are paid by the University for their services and will not pass on charges to prospective students.
