Long Beach City College offers a diverse and supportive educational environment. With a wide range of programs, from transfer pathways to vocational training, students can find opportunities that align with their career goals. The faculty are generally knowledgeable and accessible, fostering a collaborative learning atmosphere. I love that the classes are usually small so you actually have access to your professors.
The campus itself is well-maintained, with newly built facilities but sometimes there’s construction going on which causes a disturbance. The bathrooms however could be better kept and parking can be challenging. Additionally, LBCC provides various student support services on campus, including counseling, tutoring, career guidance, and student events which enhance the overall student experience. Overall, LBCC is a solid choice for anyone seeking a quality education in an affordable community college with a welcoming environment.

I've enjoyed all the classes I attended in person at LBCC. Personally, I learn a lot better in person, especially in crucial courses such as English, Criminal Law, and Marine Biology, to name a few. For the most part, I've stuck with one counselor, and she's been amazing, helpful, and patient. For the Spring semester, I will have to squeeze all my major-specific classes on Monday. If something could change, is for some of those classes to have been made available during the Winter session. I only have one complaint, one time I was tired and I decided to buy a Celsius energy drink, unfortunately, it was $5.36.
I chose to go to Long Beach city college because my friend went there and she loved it. I can see why she liked the school. I’ve taken almost all my classes online but it’s just a great school. I say I’ve only had a problem with maybe one professor, but everyone really cares about how you’re doing academically. Because of the counselors going over my educational plan with me, I am on the right track and I’ll be attending Cal State Dominguez spring 2025.
