IB Guidelines
Let's put your past coursework to work
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Organization program is designed for highly motivated secondary school students. All higher-level courses are two years in length with an exam at the end of the second year. These courses are designated with an "HL" on the high school transcript.
Acceptable scores will be entered on a student’s Loyola academic record with a pass for the courses involved. The faculty of Loyola University Chicago has determined that the following courses will be accepted. Only higher level examinations will be accepted with a minimum score of 5 out of 7. No credit will be given for subsidiary-level exams.
