• I am satisfy with the education that I recieve at Hardin-Simmons. I am majoring in Criminal justice and my professors have work in the criminal justice system, from being a police officer to a lawyer. And because of thier background, they know people from local law inforcement to the FBI. The professors are available to help and answer question you may need.
• I have been very pleased with my science instructors.
• HSU has only 2500 to 5000 students, resulting in small class sizes. I love it!
• Grade a! The staff at HSU is wonderful. There are many undergraduate and graduate programs offered as well.
• Exercise Science – I like being in my major because my professors are easily accessible.
• The student to teacher ratio is extremely small, and I feel that improves the learning. I am a face and name, not just a number. Teachers are truly worried and care for us and our achievements. Students are always willing to help each other and tutor each other. This also goes for professors. They are always willing to spend extra time to make sure we are prepared in their class. The professors are also the most knowledgable they can be in their field of expertise.
• Very Involved – Each professor in the History department at Hardin-Simmons university has shown a desire to educate students, and to help keep them accountable. Thanks to the low student to faculty ratio, professors often know each student by name; as such, they are very approachable, and are willing to help students whenever possible.
• I love my professors at HSU. Even the professors that I don't have know me by name and offer their services. I can go to any teacher on campus and ask for help.
• My workload is never too much and if i feel overwhelmed I am free to say so. The teachers here are understanding.
• Great Advising! I am a Biology/Pre-Med major, and the professors have been extremely helpful in getting me exactly where I need to be. The classes required for the biology major are tough, but they definitely are preparing me for medical school. My professors and advisors know exactly what they're talking about when it comes to their subjects, and to med school in general. We have an amazing (but small) pre-health club program, but since it's small, you have a better chance of holding office (which is good for the resume).
• The Professors of the University – The professors at Hardin-Simmons are very helpful when you need them. Their teacher:student ratio is a low rate to where when you need any extra help, they would be able to help you and be there to help guide you.*(5)
