- La Crosse requires you to take a lot of General Education classes, some of which are very interesting and fun to take but others are rather boring. When you decide your major you really get lots of control over how you can go about attaining your degree. There are many classes you can take to satisfy requirements. The teachers at La Crosse are generally very good and are generally very easy to interact with both in and out of the classroom!
- The classes have been easier than those at high school. Professors vary.
- I have only completed my first semester at college and am still undecided, so I can't review my major.
- A lot of guidance is provided for me.
- I love everything about the academics. The professors care about you and are always willing to help. They offer so many different classes so there's something for everyone for sure.
- UW-L is a great school for many majors but they are especially exceptional when it comes to the sciences and health professions.
- The education exceeds my expectations in all ways.
- Here are so many opportunities for study, campus and community involvement. You can't count them all. The same majors tend to bond and become friends and /or study buddies.
- The professors take an interest in their curriculum and students.
- I like some of the professors as they are willing to sit down and explain or any questions you have. However there are some classes I found frustrating because of bias and the mentality that a well rounded education is only to be looked at through the American world view.
- Academics at UWL are varied but have strong areas in the Sciences and Biology. Physical Therapy, Business, and Physical Education are regarded as the best majors the the school offers.
- There are some AMAZING Biology/Science/Math professors that do everything they can to help you succeed in their class and with your personal goals. However there are some teachers that do not try at all.
- Everyone is helpful, the teachers are willing to work with you and help tremendously.
- I had one teacher who wasn't fully willing to work with me because I was a freshman and I had trouble with them because they had a heavy accent.
- The business program is very respected and the school overall is gaining in academics.
- I'm an accounting major. The job placement is 100% and they can set you up with an internship later in your academic career.
- My program has a very demanding work load so I can't speak to other programs. But I wouldn't recommend my major for anyone who doesn't want to be studying 24/7*(5)
